SoHo Dragon represents an investment bank with offices in midtown Manhattan. Our client needs to hire a VP of Data Architecture/Development for a full time position direct with the bank. 


Responsibilities:


  • Develop DDL scripts to create or alter staging tables and dimension/fact tables
  • Develop transformation logic using Snow SQL, Snowflake functions and stored procedures
  • Reverse engineer existing functionality in the on-prem systems and implement that as per the new model in a performant way in Snowflake


Requirements technical :


  • 5+ years experience in SQL Server
  • Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
  • Experience in working on relational data warehouses and data marts
  • Experience in integrating data from on-prem to cloud environments
  • Good knowledge of relational data warehouse modelling concepts like Star and Snowflake schemas
  • Good knowledge of normalization and de-normalization principles
  • Good Communication skills
  • Self-motivated and fit the team culture


Preferred, but not required:


  • Proficient in building SnowSQL scripts, Snowflake functions and stored procedures (javascript based)
  • Proficient in creating data integration pipelines using Azure data factory
  • Hands-on experience in Python programming, specifically in data integration use cases
  • Experience in working with Azure databricks / Azure Devops
  • Microsoft SQL / SnowPro / Azure data engineer / Python certification
  • Experience in working in the Financial domain (Securities, capital markets)
  • Experience in working with Jenkins / Git&Github / Confluence / JIRA / Enterprise Schedulers
