SoHo Dragon represents a Fortune 500 Financial Technology firm with offices in Morristown, NJ that needs to hire Program Manager, responsible for driving complex, high priority, strategic programs. You will lead and coordinate cross-functional, cross-departmental, cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a Program, from initiation to closure.
In this role you will:
- Be responsible for enterprise-wide strategy formulation, vision implementation, operational tasks, cost and risk management.
- Work on moderate issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.
- Lead/direct projects and resources and has full responsibility for their outcomes. Plans and conducts assignments involving the larger and more important projects and resources.
- Oversee the progress of project goals and may oversee the outcomes of others simultaneously; evaluate results. May act in liaison with other departments, divisions and organizations. Operates with latitude for unreviewed actions and/or decisions.
- Evaluate progress and results and recommend major change in procedures.
- Use knowledge of new technology to estimate and advise concerning impact of decisions and services.
- Formulate strategies to increase customer/user satisfaction.
- Full responsibility for managing resources for area of expertise.
- Communicate internally and externally to all levels of management, agencies and customers.
- Possess and apply an advanced knowledge of a field of specialization to the completion of projects of major complexity.
- Provide leadership through the assessment and analysis of complex data, theory and application of practices.
- Assist executives and/or directors in defining organization goals and strategic plans.
- Regularly interacts with executives and/or customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
- Facilitate/manage Program communications and stakeholder, client and team expectations.
- Ensure project methodologies, project delivery processes (Scrum & Kanban), and implementation management processes are followed.
- This includes managing and driving:
- Project Schedule
- Risk and Issue Management
- Scope Change Management
- Manage the overall Program budget and benefit landscape. This includes understanding and validating estimates, cost variance tracking, and managing project resources effectively.
- Provide clear and concise Program communication; both written and verbal across all constituents (Executive leadership, Sponsor, Customer ....)
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
- 9+ years of experience in Project and Program Management
- Education Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work experience.
- Skills/Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and or Microsoft Project Server
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Proven success in delivering projects within budget and specified timeframes, while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Proven problem solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection
- Ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans
- Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction, and altering priorities
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments
