SoHo Dragon represents an investment bank with offices in midtown Manhattan. Our client needs to hire a Workday Consultant who will work directly with functional user groups and business stakeholders to design processes that optimize the use of our HR Systems platform.
Actively search for opportunities for process improvement through anticipating the needs
of the business and HR colleagues, providing insight into how technology can improve
Based on defined measures, identifies and implements methods for continuous
improvement, promoting process standardization and best practices.
Managing and coordinating complex, cross-functional technology efforts, ensuring
multiple projects are planned, resourced, and delivered on time and on budget.
Develop excellent relationships across the organization, including outside vendors as
well as functional user groups.
Provide overall prioritization of work assignments and management of functional team
resources and their activities to ensure timely delivery of projects as well as operational
Build a roadmap and plan; drive prioritization with HR stakeholders.
Keeps pace with changing technology and maintains awareness of vendor plans and the
potential impact of those plans on current and future HRIS functionality.
System Operations and Data Management:
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the HR Systems, including auditing data
and security profiles to ensure integrity.
Manage ongoing systems administration activities of all HR systems and interfaces.
Ensures that the Workday HRIS and other HR systems maintain regulatory compliance
with applicable laws, including reporting.
Oversee audits of data and system configurations to ensure accurate and reliable
Release Management: Manage systems upgrades and releases, including assessing
impacts and leading functional testing to ensure new functionality meets business needs
and follows change management protocols.
Work effectively with internal IT resources.
Service Delivery/End User Support:
Ensures HR administrative processes are handled effectively through the HR technology
Troubleshoot end user problems and develop solutions.
Manage end-user questions and create enhanced training materials to support the user
Ensure evaluation of operational effectiveness, including the level of customer
satisfaction and individual performance.
Provide superior business intelligence through the preparation and distribution of simple
to complex ad hoc reports, and oversee the preparation of regular reports on topics such
as turnover, benefits entitlement, performance reviews, wage reviews, D&I reporting.
Interpret and analyze data. Review client requirements to design and produce
standardized reports and/or dashboards to address HR and external client needs.
Ensure that users can effectively use the system through assessing training needs,
creating documentation, and delivering information sessions.
Effectively partner with all levels within the organization, with a strong focus on customer
5+ years’ progressive experience in Workday
Experience with large scale Workday HRIS specifically Payroll and Absence Management/Time Tracking
Experience implementing or supporting SuccessFactors and ServiceNow HR modules.
Experience with HR Shared Services Delivery and HR Operations
HR Portal Implementation
Strong Business Process Improvement skills
Must work well in a team environment, have excellent customer service skills and must
be a problem solver with strong analytical skills and creative thinking abilities
Strong business communication, consulting and training skills.
Demonstrable influencing skills with a track record of securing buy-in from different
stakeholders for data or process governance.
Must be highly organized to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related discipline
Graduate degree in Human Resources or a related field a plus
In-depth technical experience managing Workday HR suite. This includes
configurations, security and HR data structure management, and supporting cyclical HR
BAU Processes, driving semi-annual release events, and the continual improvement of
all functional modules.
Strong functional knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems across a broad
spectrum of modules. (Core HRMS, recruitment, performance management, succession
planning, learning management, compensation, payroll and benefits administration
Proven experience with documenting systems, data and process flows
