SoHo Dragon represents a Manhattan based non-profit company that needs to hire a technical PM. This is a 100% remote opportunity.

Looking for a Technical Project Manager to plan, prioritize and manage the development of new features and bug fixes for maintenance releases, new application development projects. The Project Manager will work with Business Analysts, Developers, Engineers and Testers to ensure that SDLC deliverables are met. The Project Manager will apply project management and ITIL best practices to continuously improve project deliverables.

Duties included but not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of project implementation from charter to launch
  • Foster a team atmosphere and encourage team members to contribute to innovative solutions
  • Create and manage project plans, schedule, budget and resource allocation
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize project needs
  • Work with developers, testers and other subject matter experts to ensure that the project proceeds on schedule and budget
  • Work with data scientists and data engineers to ensure business intelligence needs are met
  • Manage stakeholder expectations
  • Coordinate integration and user acceptance testing
  • Facilitate risk identification and management
  • Ensure that all project tasks are completed and meet the success criteria

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Have knowledge of waterfall and agile project management methodologies and the Scrum framework
  • Have knowledge of software testing and application development processes
  • Have a good understanding of ITSM, Change Management, Incident Management and Problem Management processes
  • Be proficient in a range of project management tools and applications such as MS Project, JIRA and Confluence
  • Understand Business Analysis processes, best practices and deliverables
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and within tight deadlines

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Three or more years of Project Management experience within a technology-focused company supporting IT related projects
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations Certification preferred
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau preferred
  • Experience with master data management tools such as EBX preferred
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate (oral and written) effectively with technology and subject matter experts
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong work ethic, responsible and accountable
